The Indian government declared the year 2001 as "Women's Emposerment year" It is a great coincidence that Sevasadan Society, Nagpur, which is working in the field of women's upliftment its through education for the last 75 years. Has celebrated it platinum jubilee in 2001-2002 year with fun and fare, the celebration was grandly inaugurated in January 2001 at the hands of Maharashtra Government women Minister Hon. Smt. Sulekha Kumbhare, Minister of water supply and sanitation Smt. Vasundhara Masurkar Mayor of Nagpur also graced the function by her presence.

Many educational, cultural and sports competitions and other activities like, teachers convention, debated, seminars, blood-donation camps for Gujarat Earth Quake his persons art and science exhibition, Musical Programme of KU. Bela Shende, Singer of SA, Re, Ga, Ma, Fame was held in the Sevasadan Campus.

Many past-students of Sevasadan also assembled in the institution and celebrated their re-union by camping in our hostel for three days and participating in cultural activities of Kojagiri festival. The former students of the institution fondly remembered their golden days in the school and past experiences while learning under the able guidance of their teachers. They also donated liberally to the institution on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee year.

The foundation day of Sevasadan and prize distribution ceremony was held on 2nd Jan 2002. it was graced under the president ship of Hon. Dr. Pankaj Chande, Vice Chancellor of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit and Chief Guest Hon. Shri A. V. Chaoji Chairman and M. D. of western Coal field Nagpur.

The concluding function of jubilee was performed under the president ship of famous social worker of Nagpur Smt. Sumatibai Suklikar, The chief Guest was the Mayor of Nagpur corporations Smt. Pushpatai Gode Hon Shri Nitin Gadari, Leader of opposition party in Maharashtra Legislative council, precided over the function.

Many renowned personalities of Marathi Literary world like Prof. Ram Shewalkar, Dr. B.V. Bhole, Dr. Meenatai Mirashi, Dr. Ashatai Sawadekar, Shri Visubhau Bapat, Graced the Jubilee functions of the institution.

A renowned industrialist, former Nagpur resident and now non-resident Indian from New York, Shri Anantrao Labhshetwar and Shri Vinda Karandikar famous Marathi Poet, attended a special function on 23rd January 2002 Dr. Labhshetwar announced a donation of Rs. One lakh to Sevasadan for tis social activites Shri Vinda Karandikar in his speech blessed th students and advised them to do their work and study with dedication.

Shri Shamrao Bapat of New York donated Rs. One Lakh to the institution in memory of his mother who had received training in the institution enabling her to be economically independent.

Western coalfields limited, Nagpur donated Rs. One Lakh to provide some hostel facilities to the students.

Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai also donated RS. One Lakh for construction of Smt. Savitribai Phule Hall.

Shri P.B. Mandrekar, Bombay donated Rs. One Lakh in memory of Late Smt. Saraswatibai Puohit who was an old ex-student of the institution. A trust of the amount is created to provide for needy students of the institutions.
